nmp undertook an extensive research programme to investigate whether there is a link between innovation and ICT skills. The research had the aim to clarify the importance, or otherwise, of ICT capabilities as part of a high value added service or knowledge economy. The research consisted of primary and secondary research to identify the relationship between innovation and ICT capabilities and investigate whether policy can be used to positively impact the role of ICT skills to stimulate future economic growth.
